Crystal Reports Parameters and Subreports

Prerequisite Exercise

Create a report using the Xtreme sample database that ships with Crystal Reports.

The Main report will include Product sales.

Tables to include:

· Customer

· Orders

· Orders Detail

· Product

The fields to include are as follows:

· Product Name

· Unit Price

· Quantity

· Adjusted Price (formula calculating the qty multiplied by the unit price)

Customer Name
Order Date – create a formula to use as the Order date group name as shown here:

Order #: 2866 Order Date: Mar 28,1998

Include a Parameter to select which Country(s) to include in the report at runtime.
If the Customer group spans pages display the Customer name and Continued on subsequent pages.
Create a Title displayed on the first page and a subtitle including the page number to be displayed on subsequent pages.
Save the report as Product Sales by Customer and Sales Rep

The Subreport:

The subreport should display a Bar Chart showing Employee Sales for Customers in Canada and England. Only the Bar chart should be visible.
The subreport will be placed in the report header below the report title.

Tables to include:

· Employee

· Orders

· Orders Detail

Fields to include:

· Order ID

· Order Amount (subtotaled by Employee)

· Formula: displaying Employee First and Last Name

Insert a group on the Employee Name formula.
